
Orange and Sesame Chicken Stir Fry
This delicious orange and sesame chicken stir fry is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- Cooked rice (4 cups, for serving)
- Green onions (2, sliced)
- Sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
- Bell pepper (1, thinly sliced)
- Broccoli florets (2 cups)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
- Orange zest (1 tablespoon)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Orange juice (1/2 cup)
- Chicken breast (2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, orange zest, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and sliced bell pepper. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the orange sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and everything is heated through.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve the orange and sesame chicken stir fry over cooked rice.
