Orange and Sesame Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients

Cooked rice
4 cups
Green onions

Sesame seeds
2 tablespoons, toasted
Bell pepper

Broccoli florets
2 cups
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Orange zest
1 tablespoon
Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Orange juice
1/2 cup
Chicken breast
1 pound, cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, orange zest, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and sliced bell pepper. Stir fry the vegetables for 3-4 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender, maintaining their vibrant color.
