Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare a cornstarch slurry by mixing cornstarch with water in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Stir-fry until it is cooked through and has a light brown color. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry the broccoli florets, julienned carrot, and sliced bell pepper for 3-4 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, along with the vegetables.
- Pour the cornstarch slurry over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to ensure everything is coated in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Sprinkle the stir fry with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for a flavorful finish.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Tips
- You can marinate the chicken for a longer period of time. The longer it marinates, the more flavor it will have.
- Feel free to substitute the vegetables with your favorites or whatever you have on hand.
- For a vegetarian version, replace the chicken with tofu.
- You can also add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to give this dish a spicy kick.
