
Potato Curry
This flavorful potato curry is made with a blend of spices, potatoes, and aromatic ingredients.
Ingredients
- Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Salt (to taste)
- Garam masala (1/2 teaspoon)
- Red chili powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Coriander powder (1 teaspoon)
- Cumin powder (1 teaspoon)
- Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Green chili (1, finely chopped)
- Tomatoes (2 medium, chopped)
- Ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
- Potatoes (4 medium, peeled and cubed)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili. Cook for another minute.
- Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add the cubed potatoes and mix well to coat them with the spices.
- Cover the pan and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the cooked potatoes and mix gently.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
