Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface and gently press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any excess and crimp the edges. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic until they're softened and the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and continue to cook until it's wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the cooled spinach and mushroom mixture evenly over the pie crust.
- Carefully pour the egg mixture over the vegetables in the pie crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Bake the quiche in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- For a different flavor, try using Swiss or Gruyere cheese instead of Cheddar.
- You can also add cooked bacon or ham for a non-vegetarian version.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
