Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sake, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. This is your sake glaze.
- While the glaze is simmering, season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Place a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once it's hot, add the salmon fillets, skin side down. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes, or until the skin becomes crispy.
- Transfer the salmon fillets to a baking dish, keeping them skin side down. Brush them generously with the sake glaze, but make sure to save some for serving.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
- After removing the salmon from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve the Sake Glazed Salmon with extra glaze drizzled on top and a garnish of thinly sliced green onions. Enjoy the harmonious blend of flavors!
Tips
- Pair this dish with a side of steamed rice and blanched green beans for a complete meal.
- For a spicier touch, add some chili flakes to the sake glaze.
