Servings: 4

Ingredients

Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Green onions
2, thinly sliced
Fresh ginger
1 tablespoon, minced
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Honey
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1/4 cup
Sake
1/2 cup
Salmon fillets
4 (6 oz each)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sake, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. This is your sake glaze.
  3. While the glaze is simmering, season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  4. Place a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once it's hot, add the salmon fillets, skin side down. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes, or until the skin becomes crispy.
  5. Transfer the salmon fillets to a baking dish, keeping them skin side down. Brush them generously with the sake glaze, but make sure to save some for serving.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
  7. After removing the salmon from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  8. Serve the Sake Glazed Salmon with extra glaze drizzled on top and a garnish of thinly sliced green onions. Enjoy the harmonious blend of flavors!
