Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Salmon fillets
4 fillets
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons (for marinade) + 1-2 tablespoons (for sauce)
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Dried dill
1 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Fresh dill
2 tablespoons, chopped
Lemon wedges
for serving
Garlic
1 clove, minced
Sour cream
1/2 cup
Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Brush the salmon fillets with the marinade, ensuring both sides are well-coated. Allow the salmon to marinate for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. While the salmon is marinating, prepare the Lemon Dill Sauce by whisking together the sour cream, minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, Dijon mustard, 1-2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Set aside for serving.
  5. Place the salmon fillets on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the salmon from the grill and immediately sprinkle with fresh dill.
  7. Serve the grilled salmon fillets with lemon wedges and the prepared Lemon Dill Sauce on the side.

Tips

  • 💡 For a smokier flavor, consider using a cedar plank for grilling the salmon.
  • 💡 The salmon can also be baked in an oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
