
Slow Cooker Chuck Tender Roast
This chuck tender roast is slow cooked to perfection with a flavorful blend of herbs and spices.
Ingredients
- Water (2 tablespoons)
- Cornstarch (2 tablespoons)
- Worcestershire sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Beef broth (1 cup)
- Dried rosemary (1/2 teaspoon)
- Dried thyme (1/2 teaspoon)
- Paprika (1/2 teaspoon)
- Onion powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
- Chuck tender roast (3 pounds)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chuck tender roast.
- Place the roast in a slow cooker and pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Remove the roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water.
- Pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Whisk in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Serve the sliced roast with the gravy.
