
Spicy Shrimp Stir Fry
This spicy shrimp stir fry is a delicious and quick meal packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- Cooked rice (2 cups (for serving))
- Green onions (2, chopped (for garnish))
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Honey (1 tablespoon)
- Sriracha sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
- Onion (1, sliced)
- Bell peppers (2, sliced)
- Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Shrimp (1 pound, peeled and deveined)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and onion, and stir fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the shrimp to the other side.
- Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables, and toss to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve the spicy shrimp stir fry over cooked rice.
