Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating.
- In the meantime, roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it reaches your preferred thickness. If you like a thin and crispy crust, aim for about 1/8 inch.
- Heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it's aromatic but not browned, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the fresh spinach to the pan, stirring frequently until it wilts, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully remove the preheated pizza stone from the oven or prepare a baking sheet. Transfer the rolled dough onto the stone or sheet.
- Spread the sautéed spinach and garlic mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese generously over the spinach. Season the pizza with the dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is a golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes for easier slicing. Slice into your preferred sizes and serve hot.
Tips
- For a more pronounced flavor, you can add sliced olives or sundried tomatoes. For meat lovers, try adding grilled chicken or slices of prosciutto.
- If you have extra time, try making your own pizza dough for an even fresher taste.
