Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon
Dried oregano
1 tablespoon
Feta cheese
1 cup, crumbled
Spinach
2 cups, fresh
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Pizza dough
1 lb

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating.
  2. In the meantime, roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it reaches your preferred thickness. If you like a thin and crispy crust, aim for about 1/8 inch.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it's aromatic but not browned, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the fresh spinach to the pan, stirring frequently until it wilts, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Carefully remove the preheated pizza stone from the oven or prepare a baking sheet. Transfer the rolled dough onto the stone or sheet.
  6. Spread the sautéed spinach and garlic mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese generously over the spinach. Season the pizza with the dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is a golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes for easier slicing. Slice into your preferred sizes and serve hot.

Tips

  • 💡 For a more pronounced flavor, you can add sliced olives or sundried tomatoes. For meat lovers, try adding grilled chicken or slices of prosciutto.
  • 💡 If you have extra time, try making your own pizza dough for an even fresher taste.
