Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to ensure they are evenly coated. Allow them to marinate for 10 minutes for optimal flavor.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat, ensuring it's hot enough to create a nice char on the shrimp.
- Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and display slight char marks.
- Remove the shrimp from the grill and let them cool slightly while you warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
- To assemble the tacos, lay a few grilled shrimp on each tortilla.
- Top with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, and a generous sprinkle of chopped cilantro.
- Finish with a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa.
- Serve the tacos immediately and savor the explosion of flavors!
Tips
- For added heat, consider incorporating diced jalapeños or a spicy salsa.
- You can substitute the shrimp with grilled fish or chicken for a different take.
