Ingredients

  • Lime wedges (to garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro (to garnish)
  • Vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1 teaspoon)
  • Turmeric (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Coriander (1 teaspoon)
  • Cumin (1 teaspoon)
  • Paprika (1 teaspoon)
  • Tandoori masala (2 tablespoons)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Lime juice (3 tablespoons)
  • Yogurt (1 cup)
  • Chicken thighs (8, boneless and skinless)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent the chicken from sticking.
  4. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and shake off excess marinade. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Once done, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the chicken, making it even more flavorful.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges. Enjoy your meal!
