Tandoori Paneer Tikka
Tandoori Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer made with marinated paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Cherry tomatoes (8)
- Bell peppers (1, cut into cubes)
- Onion (1, cut into cubes)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Salt (to taste)
- Coriander powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Cumin powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Red chili powder (1 teaspoon)
- Tandoori masala (2 tablespoons)
- Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
- Ginger (garlic paste - 1 tablespoon)
- Yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Paneer (250 grams, cut into cubes)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, tandoori masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to make a marinade.
- Add paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat the paneer evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers, alternating with onion, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes.
- Brush the skewers with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is slightly charred and the vegetables are cooked.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!
