Tandoori Paneer Tikka

Tandoori Paneer Tikka

Tandoori Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer made with marinated paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Cherry tomatoes (8)
  • Bell peppers (1, cut into cubes)
  • Onion (1, cut into cubes)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Coriander powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Cumin powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Turmeric powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Red chili powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Tandoori masala (2 tablespoons)
  • Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Ginger (garlic paste - 1 tablespoon)
  • Yogurt (1/2 cup)
  • Paneer (250 grams, cut into cubes)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, tandoori masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to make a marinade.
  2. Add paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat the paneer evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers, alternating with onion, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes.
  5. Brush the skewers with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is slightly charred and the vegetables are cooked.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!
