
Tostadas de Camarones
Tostadas de camarones are crispy tortillas topped with seasoned shrimp, fresh vegetables, and a zesty salsa.
Ingredients
- Salsa (1/2 cup)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Avocado (1, sliced)
- Tomato (1, diced)
- Lettuce (1 cup, shredded)
- Refried beans (1 cup)
- Corn tortillas (8)
- Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Lime juice (2 tablespoons)
- Shrimp (1 pound, peeled and deveined)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the shrimp, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat the corn tortillas for about 1 minute on each side, until crispy.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on each crispy tortilla.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced avocado, cooked shrimp, cilantro, and salsa.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
